Six Sentence Sunday & A Blogfest

So, because I epically failed last Sunday by posting an incorrect URL to my blog (posted .blogfest, instead of .blogspot), I deleted the post from Sunday the 5th and recycled it for this week. See, it was a very epic fail.

Finally, here are my six:

Her fingers twitched, reacting to my irregular heartbeat. She tasted the flavor of my lips after our kiss and said, “Only if something like that could win your war.”

I started to laugh, but held it back when the idea bloomed. It flourished so swiftly, like watching a flower blossom in fast forward. All the water and sunlight and air that it needed to thrive for a season in seconds. She must have caught on when I stared above her, blankly at the wall, instead of at her.

Also, if anyone's looking for a place to meet cool kids on February 13th (YES, THAT'S TOMORROW!), swing by my blog again for the Hook, Line and Sinker Blogfest. Click to visit the sign-up list. It's gonna' be fun!

Six Sentence Sunday (3)

Thanks for such the warm invites to my first SSS post last week. I hope to hop around to more blogs this period and make some comments. Return to SSS for the entrants.

Here is this week's six:

--

A stiletto came down at Falistar and Valence’s knife left his hand. It cut the dust cleanly, but soared through the black apparition.

Valence leapt. The stiletto sunk into Falistar’s neck, the skin bursting like a stretched bed sheet. Blood sprayed through the apparition’s body and it detached. It assumed a gassy form as Valence tried to tackle it, and was gone.

Six Sentence Sunday (2)

It's my first official SSS week. Enjoy!

--

“Come.” He did not stop as he passed Valence, his face straight, decision made. Gerad met the king at the doors. “Falistar knows where the line between good and evil divides.” He put a hand on the door and glanced back. “He will weigh your heart.”

Six Sentence Sunday

I know my six sentences aren't official (because I didn't sign up and I just learned about it), but I'm just posting because I can. I plan to sign up the correct way when the next SSS post goes live on Wednesday, or as often as I'm able. Love the banner!

This week's six sentences come from my epic fantasy, BOND OF DARKNESS.

--

Valence thought on Melana’s words. Beauty and deceit all in one package. She helped him because he was dying, but she wouldn’t withhold information to the king whom she had sworn her fealty.

Gerad was handsome, quick-witted and utterly self-assured of himself. It was clear Gerad didn’t expect King Pallanza to stay his comment as if he were a cadet.

Casting that incantation should have left him as empty as a dry husk, but yet he lived.
